Boleiros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fidelis FTC the free kick. André Luiz Valadares missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 19 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Luisinho Meireles right hand side. Frédson de Lara hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Ademir Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Wilian Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agostinho Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Róbson de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute of the match Kléberson da Costa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Róbson de Queirós showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Agostinho Pombal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Róbson de Queirós was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Róbson de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Dias in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agostinho Pombal was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, André Luiz Valadares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fidelis FTC and the Boleiros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Boleiros FC's Agostinho Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulisses Dias during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Agostinho Pombal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 74 minutes, João Paulo Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boleiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kléberson da Costa was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Fidelis FTC booed when Boleiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boleiros FC's Rogério Tinoco was substituted for Agostinho Pombal. Kléberson da Costa hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Luisinho Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Boleiros FC's Jânio Pimenta got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Rogério Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Paulo Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Boleiros FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Magno Domingues hit a great ball. The Fidelis FTC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boleiros FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
