Oswaldo Garcia started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Laka Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jairo Mota hit a great ball. Luís Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Costa Rica Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Salgado to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute, Róbson Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laka Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Costa Rica Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Danilo Arce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Róbson Azevedo. After some careless play in the Laka Futebol Clube defense, José Pedro Mangueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Galvão. The Laka Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Galvão should have stopped the shot. José Pedro Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Fábio Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laka Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica Esporte Clube the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tarcisio Arce in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tarcisio Arce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo Galvão having to make a save. Danilo Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Costa Rica Esporte Clube's José Pedro Mangueira in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Danilo Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Messias in the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Costa Rica Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Messias came free, but Danilo Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Pedro Mangueira made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Laka Futebol Clube's zone, José Pedro Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Galvão came out of the goal and José Pedro Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tarcisio Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Pedro Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Galvão having to interfere. Oswaldo Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oswaldo Garcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danilo Arce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Costa Rica Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Azevedo came free, but Danilo Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute Dudu Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tarcisio Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Galvão having to interfere. Costa Rica Esporte Clube's José Pedro Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When José Pedro Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Costa Rica Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Pedro Mangueira couldn't finish the play. When Jairo Mota was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, José Pedro Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but José Pedro Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Pedro Luís Messias fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laka Futebol Clube's protests and gave Pedro Luís Messias a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Costa Rica Esporte Clube booed when Laka Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Pedro Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tarcisio Arces short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Angelo Galvão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
