Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Laranjal's Juvenal Rezende started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Laranjal's Adriano Sergipano got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Lúcio Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laranjal's Ronaldão Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Laranjal from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Juvenal Rezende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lúcio Sanches had several of the Laranjal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ronaldão Andrade as he didn't even see the shot coming. Lúcio Sanches who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Ronaldão Andrade when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elói Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ronaldão Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yuri Rodrigues during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Laranjal booed when CF Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lúcio Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elói Meira to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Alberto de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When CF Flamengo's Lúcio Sanches in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Juvenal Rezende might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldir Ortiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juvenal Rezende ran back to his position shaking his head. Silas de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. CF Flamengo's Waldir Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Rezende in the 74th minute of play. Maurício Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Laranjal's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Meira came free, but Ronaldão Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldão Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Meira in the 84th minute of play. Elói Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldão Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Sanches in the 89th minute of the match. Alberto de Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto de Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CF Flamengo booed when Laranjal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CF Flamengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laranjal the free kick. In the 93rd minute, one of CF Flamengo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CF Flamengo. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Laranjal. Adriano Sergipano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Waldir Ortiz. 1-1. The Laranjal players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented CF Flamengo from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
