Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Umbra United's Germano Varela started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Neto in the 6th minute of play forced Umbra United's goalkeeper Sidnei Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Mororos's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Varela came free, but Benjamim Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Umbra United's Sidnei Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho de Sena in the 13th minute of play. Sidnei Saraiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zézinho de Sena went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Paulo Renato Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Sanches having to interfere. Mororos's Dida Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adrianinho da Fonseca hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Germano Varela in the 45th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Benjamim Sanches kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dida Neto to strike the kick off in the second half. Mororos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Umbra United the free kick. Zézinho de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Saraiva having to interfere. Aloísio Antunes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Zézinho de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Jerônimo Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Mororos's Miguel Abraão broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 80th minute of the match, Zézinho de Sena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sidnei Saraiva was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
