When Geraldo Siqueira came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Pageu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geraldo Siqueira couldn't finish the play. Laka Futebol Clube's Oswaldo Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dudu Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Patrick Travassos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pageu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laka Futebol Clube the free kick. Patrick Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Dudu Sá might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Fernandes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dudu Sá ran back to his position shaking his head. After 31 played minutes Laka Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Azevedo. Pageu's Daniel Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Garcia in the 33rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Pageu's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Garcia came free, but Daniel Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oswaldo Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Laka Futebol Clube's Luís Leal got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ricardinho Abraão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angelo Galvão. Laka Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Oswaldo Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laka Futebol Clube:s Angelo Galvão showed great skill when he stopped Ricardinho Abraão:s penalty. Dudu Sá's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Daniel Fernandes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Garcia in the 94th minute of play. Laka Futebol Clube's Dudu Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Dudu Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot.
