After a defensive mix-up in Laka Futebol Clube's zone, Fabiano Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Galvão came out of the goal and Fabiano Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 5 minutes, Nuno Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laka Futebol Clube and the Jacuipense players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Laka Futebol Clube's Nuno Martins got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Fabiano Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Galvão having to interfere. When Jacuipense's Fabiano Marques in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laka Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Moisés Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Marques's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Moisés Cerezo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Galvão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute Oswaldo Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Jacuipense's Moisés Cerezo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Galvão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Fabiano Marques came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Jacuipense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Marques couldn't finish the play. Jacuipense's Fabiano Marques managed to work through Laka Futebol Clube's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fabiano Marques dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. David Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Angelo Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Jacuipense were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A very good chance. 55 minutes into the game, Ediberto Messias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacuipense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laka Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 56th match minute, Jacuipense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Messias to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Galvão having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Jacuipense's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Garcia came free, but Humberto Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rdth minute of the game Fabiano Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laka Futebol Clube's Angelo Galvão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabiano Marques who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Angelo Galvão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hélio Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Angelo Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabiano Marques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Galvão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Moisés Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Galvão having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Luís Messias charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Luís Messias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Laka Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Messias. Fabiano Marques's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Angelo Galvão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedro Luís Messias got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Jacuipense booed when Laka Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moisés Cerezo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th match minute, Laka Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Linares to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Laka Futebol Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after David Sarmento fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Laka Futebol Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Jacuipense were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
