Róbson Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Laka Futebol Clube's Angelo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Meira in the 6th minute of play. Oswaldo Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, one of CF Flamengo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CF Flamengo. Angelo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. CF Flamengo's Waldir Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Garcia in the 21st minute of play. When Oswaldo Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Laka Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oswaldo Garcia couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute Elói Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Laka Futebol Clube's Nuno Martins got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Elói Meira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laka Futebol Clube's Angelo Galvão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, CF Flamengo's goalkeeper Waldir Ortiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dudu Sá. Róbson Azevedo's late challenge caught a CF Flamengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Róbson Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Laka Futebol Clube's Róbson Azevedo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Lúcio Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, CF Flamengo's Elói Meira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Galvão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in CF Flamengo's zone, Róbson Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Ortiz came out of the goal and Róbson Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Oswaldo Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laka Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Rodrigo Palmeira fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laka Futebol Clube's protests and gave Rodrigo Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for CF Flamengo. Jeremias Bezerra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Angelo Galvão. 1-2. The Laka Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CF Flamengo were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elói Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laka Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Angelo Galvão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lúcio Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Galvão was a little too slow when Elói Meira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-3. Oswaldo Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Waldir Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Martins's late challenge caught a CF Flamengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Martins helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Laka Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Martins. In the 74th minute Elói Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Róbson Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes CF Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Abraão. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dudu Sá in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldir Ortiz saved CF Flamengo from getting behind. Dudu Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute of the match Evandro Lago shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelo Galvão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With his leg Angelo Galvão managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when CF Flamengo's Lúcio Sanches fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Laka Futebol Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CF Flamengo's performance. The match ended with a win for CF Flamengo.
