When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Fabiano Marques sped through Mororos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benjamim Sanches. Fabiano Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Sanches having to interfere. With his leg Benjamim Sanches managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Jacuipense's Fabiano Marques fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 42nd minute Moisés Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabiano Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benjamim Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ediberto Messias in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Fabiano Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacuipense's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamim Sanches breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mororos's zone, Fabiano Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamim Sanches came out of the goal and Fabiano Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Marques in the 61st minute of play forced Mororos's goalkeeper Benjamim Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamim Sanches having to make a save. When Fabiano Marques came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Jacuipense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Marques couldn't finish the play. After 70th play minutes Fabiano Marques shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Benjamim Sanches and just under the crossbar into goal. If Fabiano Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Benjamim Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Fabiano Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 played minutes Mororos got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Rodrigues. After 88 minutes, Fabiano Marques made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Mororos's Benjamim Sanches tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Fabiano Marques left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jacuipense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0.
