After 11th play minutes José Pedro Mangueira shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Bernardo Martins and just under the crossbar into goal. Bernardo Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Martins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Pedro Mangueira's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. José Pedro Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tarcisio Arce's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Bernardo Martins skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bernardo Martins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tarcisio Arce in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Geovânio Ramalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Revolution FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Martins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as José Pedro Mangueira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardo Martins. That made the score 4-0 in the 36 minute of play. A collision led to Costa Rica Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Dito Simões hit a great ball. Revolution FC's Bernardo Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Revolution FC from getting a goal against them. Tarcisio Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Martins having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Umberto Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Revolution FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica Esporte Clube the free kick. Umberto Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Umberto Bezerra made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Revolution FC's zone, José Pedro Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Martins came out of the goal and José Pedro Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute José Pedro Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Tarcisio Arce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Martins. Revolution FC's Bernardo Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcisio Arce in the 85th minute of play. Bernardo Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Arce in the 89th minute of play. Bernardo Martins came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica Esporte Clube's Tarcisio Arce. But to his dismay, Tarcisio Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Costa Rica Esporte Clube had played much better football throughout.
