After a rather tough play, Umbra United's Jerônimo Bittencourt got a free kick in the 19th minute. Benê Guedes might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidnei Saraiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Germano Varela received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Augusto Koehler came out and tried to block the shot, but Germano Varela slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 48th minute.
