Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Geraldo Siqueira started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Paulo Renato Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Umbra United's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Renato Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Renato Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Daniel Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geraldo Siqueira took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sidnei Saraiva. Sidnei Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Germano Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Umbra United's Sidnei Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Siqueira in the 18th minute of play. Sidnei Saraiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Travassos in the 20th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Adhemar Capixaba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Fernandes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Pageu's Eugênio Paraíba got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 42 minutes of play Pageu's Eugênio Paraíba was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a defensive mix-up in Pageu's zone, Paulo Renato Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Fernandes came out of the goal and Paulo Renato Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Germano Varela to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrick Travassos struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Sidnei Saraiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pageu. Paulo Renato Perez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Pageu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Germano Varela scored to the left of an out of position Daniel Fernandes, making the score, 1-1. Patrick Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Sidnei Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Aloísio Antunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Umbra United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pageu the free kick. The supporters of Pageu booed when Umbra United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes, Pageu's Amauri Mineiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sidnei Saraiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pageu reached it. Sidnei Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Travassos in the 86th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Geraldo Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
