The Malwee fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Carlos Costa during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Malwee booed when Riachao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Souza in the 33rd minute of the match. Jonas Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Samuel Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Martins having to interfere. If Gustavo Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Carlos Costa was the one to do the kick off. 61 minutes into the game, João Vítor Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riachao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malwee the free kick. A collision led to Riachao getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. João Vítor Moraes hit a great ball. The supporters of Malwee booed when Riachao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball.
