Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wilson de Salles started the match with the kick off. Francisco Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson de Salles in the 3rd minute of the match. When Humberto Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Club Athletico Redemptor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Garcia couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Jumirim's Francisco Barbosa got control of the ball when Humberto Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Barbosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilson de Salles in the 14th minute. When Cristian Loureiro fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jumirim's protests and gave Cristian Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. Cristian Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jumirim's goalkeeper Francisco Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Danilo Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Francisco Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Jorge Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Garcia got in the 37th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Francisco Barbosa handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Francisco Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldinho de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Danilo Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Club Athletico Redemptor's zone, Osvaldinho de Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Vinhas came out of the goal and Osvaldinho de Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafim Guimarães made a kick off. With 52 minutes on the clock, Cláudio Rossi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Club Athletico Redemptor's Luiz Fábio Magalhães got a free kick in the 58th minute. Francisco Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Garcia in the 63rd minute of play. Humberto Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Barbosa having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Garcia in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Barbosa saved Jumirim from getting behind. In the 70th match minute, Club Athletico Redemptor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Alexsandro Luz, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 73rd minute Humberto Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Guto Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Francisco Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Magalhães in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Garcia in the 90th minute of play forced Jumirim's goalkeeper Francisco Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Club Athletico Redemptor getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Ramos hit a great ball. The Jumirim players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
