In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olaria A.C.'s goalkeeper Hernani Freire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Olaria A.C.'s zone, Wilson de Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernani Freire came out of the goal and Wilson de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olaria A.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Wilson de Salles scored to the left of an out of position Hernani Freire, making the score, 1-0. Danilo Vinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Vargas in the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yan Arruda in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Vinhas saved Club Athletico Redemptor from getting behind. Humberto Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Club Athletico Redemptor's Luiz Fábio Magalhães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernani Freire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Hernani Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Garcia in the 39th minute. Club Athletico Redemptor's Humberto Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yan Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Danilo Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Wilson de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Club Athletico Redemptor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson de Salles couldn't finish the play. After 66 minutes, Márcio Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olaria A.C. and the Club Athletico Redemptor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Olaria A.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márcio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Club Athletico Redemptor were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Olaria A.C. for a fine match.
