Internacional de Polvilho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Arlindo Félix scored to the left of an out of position Durval Mandrak, making the score, 1-0. Internacional de Polvilho's Durval Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Félix in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Ismael Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Gustavo Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fiori Dionísio took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Gustavo Matos. Luiz Gustavo Matos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 25 played minutes, Internacional de Polvilho's Deivid Meireles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Matos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Internacional de Polvilho reached it. Arlindo Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Carumbe EC's Gustavo Trevisan got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, one of Internacional de Polvilho:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Internacional de Polvilho. The goalkeeper, Durval Mandrak, was totally fooled by Carumbe EC's Edgard Santana, who 35 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Internacional de Polvilho getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Deivid Meireles hit a great ball. A hard shot 41 in the game by Edson Vale from a close distance when the talented Durval Mandrak managed to make a qualified save. Internacional de Polvilho's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arlindo Félix in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Mandrak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Arlindo Félix put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Durval Mandrak. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Edson Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durval Mandrak having to make a save. If Cláudio Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marquinhos Catarinense hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Faustão Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Edson Vale sped through Internacional de Polvilho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Durval Mandrak. Edson Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Arlindo Félix notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Internacional de Polvilho's Durval Mandrak. Durval Mandrak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Cláudio Trancoso fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carumbe EC's protests and gave Cláudio Trancoso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Carumbe EC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Cláudio Trancoso hit a great ball. Internacional de Polvilho's Durval Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Vale in the 80th minute of play. Faustão Schmidt hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Arlindo Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When Arlindo Félix came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Carumbe EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlindo Félix couldn't finish the play.
