Benjamin Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Evaristo de Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Jarbas Recife was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blahoželáme šampiónom's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pituna the free kick. After 14 played minutes Blahoželáme šampiónom got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Recife. During the 18th minute of the match Jarbas Recife completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jarbas Recife a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Evaristo de Alcântara scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Novaes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 23 minutes, Alberto Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blahoželáme šampiónom and the Pituna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Blahoželáme šampiónom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Peres to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Cosme got free with Edmílson Aguiar in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Blahoželáme šampiónom's João Cosme dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evaristo de Alcântara to make the kick off. In the 60th minute Evaristo de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Blahoželáme šampiónom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celsinho Paes to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Lopes hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Benjamin Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Proença in the 80th minute of the match. Rafinha Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Novaes having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
