When Tomé de Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chapecoense's protests and gave Tomé de Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Chapecoense got a freekick which was hit by Tomé de Toledo. Elói Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Novaes having to interfere. Benjamin Novaes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elói Campidelis's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Chapecoense's Gilberto Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Novaes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Chapecoense's Diamantino Vides shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Elói Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diamantino Vides stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Campidelis in the 84th minute of play. Benjamin Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Benjamin Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diamantino Vides in the 87th minute. Diamantino Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Novaes having to interfere.
