Doriva Quadros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edson Vale went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Doriva Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu Brodel in the 25th minute of play. If Doriva Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The Carumbe EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Doriva Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Félix in the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Carumbe EC's Arlindo Félix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doriva Quadros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 68 minutes, Edson Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carumbe EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
