Vitório Torres was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Academia Palestrina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vitório Quintal should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute, Rufa FC's Edmílson Vargas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vitório Quintal. Vitório Quintal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Vitório Quintal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcel de Medeiros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 39 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Maurinho Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

52 minutes into the match, Marcel de Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitório Quintal. Academia Palestrina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcel de Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 59th minute, Tales Moreira made a precise shot to the right of Vitório Quintal. Academia Palestrina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Edmílson Vargas's late challenge caught a Academia Palestrina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmílson Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. Edmílson Vargas hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, Narciso de Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Palestrina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rufa FC the free kick. After 67 played minutes Academia Palestrina got a freekick which was hit by Narciso de Queirós. Marcel de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Marcel de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tales Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Vitório Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rufa FC fully deserved thier win.
