Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Atlético Maneiro FC's Jailson Saraiva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Bezerra during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 minutes, Washington Brodel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Maneiro FC and the Caru players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Washington Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th match minute, Atlético Maneiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. Flávio Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Linares in the 15th minute of the match. Jeferson Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeferson Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Luz having to interfere. Jeferson Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Flávio Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flávio Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Caru's Víktor Marques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Luz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Jeferson Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tião do Vale's late challenge caught a Atlético Maneiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tião do Vale helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Caru got a freekick which was hit by Tião do Vale. 39 minutes into the match, Caru's Jeferson Linares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Luz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Caru's goalkeeper Severino Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Almir Rodrigues. With a little luck, Caru's Severino Coelho got control of the ball when Almir Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vladimir de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Flávio Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeferson Linares's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Caru's zone, Jailson Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Coelho came out of the goal and Jailson Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Cícero Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Víktor Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Luz having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Víktor Marques kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flávio Luz. That made the score 0-1 in the 63 minute of play. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlético Maneiro FC! When the match had been going on for 70 minutes, Caru's José Carlos Peixoto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Flávio Luz. Jeferson Linares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Flávio Luz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 78th minute Víktor Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Maneiro FC's goalkeeper Flávio Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeferson Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Flávio Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Víktor Marques fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Flávio Luz, passed just outside the right post. Jeferson Linares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Flávio Luz made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Víktor Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
