Severino Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olinto AD. 17 minutes into the game, Víktor Marques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Guilherme de Queiroz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guilherme de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Marques in the 21st minute of the match. Cícero Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Coelho having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dé Brodel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severino Coelho was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Severino Coelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Koehler went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Afonso Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Afonso Koehler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severino Coelho. Caru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso Koehler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afonso Koehler to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Olinto AD booed when Caru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caru's Severino Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Koehler in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Jeferson Linares notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Olinto AD's Guilherme de Queiroz. Guilherme de Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Afonso Koehler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Cícero Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olinto AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cícero Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Afonso Koehler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olinto AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caru the free kick. In the 79th match minute, Olinto AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Koehler to maneuver through the defense. If Jeferson Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorival Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Caru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorival Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. 93 minutes into the match, Olinto AD's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Linares came free, but Guilherme de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
