Clube Esportivo Pacheco's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luiz Paulo Souto 11 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 15th minute Diguinho Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diguinho Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nelson Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelson Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Galatius's Claudinho Urbano got a free kick in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Rafa Severo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Esportivo Pacheco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatius the free kick. A collision led to Clube Esportivo Pacheco getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rafa Severo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Claudinho Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatius's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinho Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodriguinho Furtado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Clube Esportivo Pacheco's Rodriguinho Furtado got control of the ball when Claudinho Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Paraibano in the 36th minute of play forced Galatius's goalkeeper Nelson Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Paraibano in the 37th minute of play. The Clube Esportivo Pacheco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diguinho Paraibano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Moura who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Nelson Torres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Claudinho Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléber Novaes during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Galatius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber Novaes to maneuver through the defense. The player immediately received a yellow card. 1-2 came through a penalty shot after 100 played minutes, when Clube Esportivo Pacheco:s Claudinho Koehler calmly waited for Galatius:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. The Clube Esportivo Pacheco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clube Esportivo Pacheco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
