In the 7th minute of the match Theophilus SC got a corner. Caru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dedê Vasconcelos ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Giuseppe Quirino drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind Caru's goalkeeper. The supporters of Theophilus SC booed when Caru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Theophilus SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Arí Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Linares in the 22nd minute of the match. Víktor Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Víktor Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caru's supporters rose to their feet, but Víktor Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arí Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 55 played minutes Víktor Marques could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-2 into the left cross. Arí Fontes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Víktor Marques showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 61 minute of play. Theophilus SC's Dedê Vasconcelos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Caru. Caru played a much better game than Theophilus SC and deserved their victory. The Theophilus SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
