Gildo Lira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Atlético Maneiro FC booed when Theophilus SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Theophilus SC's goalkeeper Arí Fontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arí Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Saraiva in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atlético Maneiro FC's Mazinho Donatello got a free kick in the 79th minute. With a little luck, Theophilus SC's Arí Fontes got control of the ball when Almir Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Chiquinho Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Jailson Saraiva fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arí Fontes, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Saraiva in the 95th minute of play forced Theophilus SC's goalkeeper Arí Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
