The audience was convinced that Breno de Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horácio Velloso was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breno de Sousa in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horácio Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horácio Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedito das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Horácio Velloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano Nóbrega's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The PODEROSO LEAO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Marasco were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Anderson Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PODEROSO LEAO's protests and gave Anderson Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Marasco booed when PODEROSO LEAO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, PODEROSO LEAO's Horácio Velloso got control of the ball when Luciano Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line.
