Marasco's Gonçalo Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Campidelis in the 23rd minute of play. Gonçalo Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Campidelis in the 25th minute of the match. If Ezequiel Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraiso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marasco the free kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Luciano Nóbrega put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Franklin Arantes. Benedito das Neves's late challenge caught a Paraiso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Luciano Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Marasco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Marasco were the better team. Marasco's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
