JF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betão de Amorim, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Afonso Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Vides having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Emboscada SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Tande to maneuver through the defense. Emboscada SC's Luís Paulo Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Fernandes in the 24th minute of play. Afonso Prestes's late challenge caught a Tupi F.C. JF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Prestes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Emboscada SC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Afonso Prestes hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Emboscada SC's Rodolfo de Amaral got a free kick in the 28th minute. Luís Paulo Dionísio came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Tupi F.C. JF's César Fernandes. But to his dismay, César Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 31 minutes, Afonso Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emboscada SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kaká Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Frédson Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. César Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sérgio Eger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sérgio Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ezequiel Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavinho Munhoz hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tupi F.C. JF's zone, Sérgio Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Vides came out of the goal and Sérgio Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo de Amaral during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tupi F.C. JF booed when Emboscada SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. If César Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Paulo Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Fernandes in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Flavinho Munhoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Emboscada SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tupi F.C. JF's performance. The match ended with a win for Tupi F.C. JF.
