Paulo Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 9th minute, Walmyr Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerson Veiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but César Cavalcante made a huge save. The supporters of OFF booed when Adeus Metallica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerson Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. OFF's Gerson Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. César Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. César Cavalcante was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Walmyr Cosme. In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Adeus Metallica. Edu Hermes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Horácio Mazza. 1-1. Luís Fernando da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Bueno to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Paulo Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Cavalcante having to interfere. Luís Fernando da Silveira's late challenge caught a OFF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adeus Metallica's César Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Veiga in the 77th minute of play. Luís Fernando da Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horácio Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Horácio Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Bueno in the 83rd minute of play. José Paulo Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. César Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerson Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Adeus Metallica's goal looked a bit too open when Gerson Veiga came free, but César Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
