When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, BlaCK FenIX's Marcel Montenegro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Célio Sena. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Betinho Mello during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Salgueiro's Betinho Mello got a free kick in the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Salgueiro booed when BlaCK FenIX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Salgueiro were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Afonso de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute.
