Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Salgueiro's Wellington Tasso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Arlindo Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Salgueiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlindo Gomes couldn't finish the play. João Jacinto made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Salgueiro's Cido Silveira. Vivaldo Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cortado's zone, Allan Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Borges came out of the goal and Allan Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Cortado's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Gomes came free, but Vivaldo Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cortado getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ricardo Freire hit a great ball. Edgar Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cortado's Vivaldo Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Tasso in the 26th minute of play. Arlindo Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Arlindo Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salgueiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Arlindo Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wellington Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vivaldo Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Cortado's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Tasso came free, but Vivaldo Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellington Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Borges having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Arlindo Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vivaldo Borges was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the game, Salgueiro's Arlindo Gomes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vivaldo Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Célio Sena came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Cortado's David Lago. But to his dismay, David Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. David Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Célio Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vivaldo Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wellington Tasso in the 66th minute of the match. Cido Silveira struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Vivaldo Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salgueiro. Vivaldo Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Tasso in the 69th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Wellington Tasso could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Vivaldo Borges however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 76 minutes, Arlindo Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salgueiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlindo Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th match minute, Salgueiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Gomes to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the game, Claudinho Donatello threw the ball into play from the sideline. Salgueiro's Cesinha Couto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Vivaldo Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Almeida in the 92nd minute of play. Salgueiro's Wellington Tasso got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Arlindo Gomes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vivaldo Borges. The goal made the score 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Salgueiro left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cortado.
