The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Cabral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Percival Negri's late challenge caught a Ars Ratio Tempus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percival Negri helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, OFF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Negri to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Vladimir Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Válbson Sabóia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horácio Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Horácio Mazza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Válbson Sabóia went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Gerson Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. OFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerson Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladimir Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the OFF defense, Válbson Sabóia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horácio Mazza. The OFF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horácio Mazza should have stopped the shot. Válbson Sabóia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horácio Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Válbson Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Mazza having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Vladimir Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jorge Castro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. The supporters of Ars Ratio Tempus booed when OFF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 minutes of play, Ars Ratio Tempus's Pedro Luiz Palmeira made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horácio Mazza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vladimir Arruda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Horácio Mazza came out and tried to block the shot, but Vladimir Arruda slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 74th minute. Horácio Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 82 minutes into the match, OFF's goalkeeper Horácio Mazza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válbson Sabóia. In the 83rd match minute, OFF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Cosme to maneuver through the defense. If Vladimir Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimir Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Horácio Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Ars Ratio Tempus's Válbson Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horácio Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The OFF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ars Ratio Tempus were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
