Spectators: 5275 (Terracing: 4075, Seating: 1075, VIP seats: 125) Inova FC's Zeca Vianna started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vivaldo Godoi in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Evandro Lopes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Inova FC's Juninho Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Valladares in the 8th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Red Crabs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Gaspar having to interfere. Fábio Goiano hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Percival Cunha in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doriva Linhares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juninho Gaspar having to make a save. If Pedro Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Zeca Vianna dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evandro Lopes, 1-0. In the 42nd minute of the match Tomás Vinhas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juninho Gaspar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Enrique de Sena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juninho Gaspar skillfully saved the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Valladares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juninho Gaspar. That made the score 1-1 in the 56 minute of play. Evandro Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Godoi in the 60th minute of the match. Evandro Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Inova FC's Juninho Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Inova FC from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute, Doriva Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Vivaldo Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Inova FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vivaldo Godoi couldn't finish the play. Vivaldo Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doriva Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Gaspar having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
