Spectators: 5275 (Terracing: 4075, Seating: 1075, VIP seats: 125) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Waldemar Albuquerque kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Inova FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Terra. Fábio Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Toninho Ferreira, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Vivaldo Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Josué Luz made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Inova FC's zone, Ernesto Donato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juninho Gaspar came out of the goal and Ernesto Donato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Waldemar Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Juninho Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ananindeua getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Waldemar Albuquerque hit a great ball. If Vivaldo Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Wesley Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivaldo Godoi scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josué Luz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeca Vianna was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ananindeua booed when Inova FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeca Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Vivaldo Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inova FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivaldo Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 80 played minutes, Inova FC's Valdo Pitta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Josué Luz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inova FC reached it. Juninho Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Leal in the 85th minute. Waldemar Albuquerque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juninho Gaspar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play.
