In the 3rd minute Ulysses Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Asilo das velhas obesas's Marquinhos Abreu got control of the ball when Doriva Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. When %teams%'s Pedro Valladares was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-0 just inside the left pole, 9 minutes into the game. Marquinhos Abreu was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. After 16 played minutes Asilo das velhas obesas got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Tinoco. Valdemar Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Moreno scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evandro Lopes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ulysses Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysses Teles in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evandro Lopes saved Red Crabs FC from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Pedro Valladares got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Doriva Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Marquinhos Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Valladares made a kick off. Vito Marques hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Pedro Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. The referee ignored Asilo das velhas obesas's protests and gave Jonas Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Pedro Valladares put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marquinhos Abreu. In the 79th minute of the match, Valdemar Prado got a very nice opportunity to score, but Evandro Lopes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marquinhos Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Valladares in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute, Paulo José Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute of the match, Ulysses Teles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Evandro Lopes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ulysses Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evandro Lopes had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping Clóvis Tinoco's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Percival Cunha was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Red Crabs FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
