Spectators: 7177 (Terracing: 5398, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 125) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juan Godoi started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Canarama defense, Nicolas Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilmar Quirino. The Canarama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilmar Quirino should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Flatoria's José das Neves got a free kick in the 15th minute. Olavo Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Nilmar Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Medeiros in the 18th minute of the match. Dário Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo de Sena in the 20th minute of play. When Kléber Coutinho fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flatoria's protests and gave Kléber Coutinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Flatoria getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Kléber Coutinho hit a great ball. Víktor Magalhães did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Dário Maranhense 24 minutes into the match. Remo de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Flatoria getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Nicolas Silva hit a great ball. Nilmar Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Remo de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Bastos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dário Maranhense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléber Coutinho in the 36th minute of play forced Canarama's goalkeeper Nilmar Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flatoria's Dário Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Flatoria from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remo de Sena to make the kick off. The supporters of Flatoria booed when Canarama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remo de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo de Sena struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Dário Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canarama. Nilmar Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Medeiros in the 66th minute of play. Kléber Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match Durval Souza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dário Maranhense skillfully saved the ball. Víktor Magalhães took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dário Maranhense. Dário Maranhense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 76th minute, Remo de Sena made a precise shot to the right of Dário Maranhense. Flatoria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Remo de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Maranhense having to interfere. Dário Maranhense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remo de Sena's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Víktor Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canarama's supporters rose to their feet, but Víktor Magalhães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Flatoria defense, Remo de Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dário Maranhense. The Flatoria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dário Maranhense should have stopped the shot. Canarama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Juan Godoi scored to the left of an out of position Nilmar Quirino, making the score, 4-3. When the referee ended the match the Canarama players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
