Dário Maranhense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 15th minute, Carlos Augusto Sergipano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dário Maranhense. The goal made the score 2-0. Carlos Augusto Sergipano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dário Maranhense made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Carlos Augusto Sergipano fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to Seleto getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Nando Alves hit a great ball. Sílvio Luiz Dantas scored 2-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dorival Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 30 played minutes Flatoria got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Custódio. After 34 minutes, Carlos Augusto Sergipano made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Flatoria's Dário Maranhense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Carlos Augusto Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Seleto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Augusto Sergipano couldn't finish the play. Dário Maranhense was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Elias Soeiro. In a very dangerous position, a player in Flatoria fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Carlos Augusto Sergipano shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.

54 minutes into the match, Flatoria's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Sergipano came free, but Dário Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 minutes, Carlos Augusto Sergipano made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Flatoria's Dário Maranhense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Celsinho Secco hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The Seleto fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Seleto's Carlos Augusto Sergipano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dário Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Augusto Sergipano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dário Maranhense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Nico Valadares hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Dário Maranhense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Augusto Sergipano's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 86thth minute of the game Celsinho Secco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flatoria's Dário Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Carlos Augusto Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seleto's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Flatoria's José das Neves got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Dário Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Sergipano in the 93rd minute of play. With a little luck, Seleto's Dorival Silveira got control of the ball when Claudinei da Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Seleto had played much better football throughout.
