The wind increased when Gualter Schmidt made the kick off in the second half. Edmílson Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmílson Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, Da Matta E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Page's Alexsandro Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Schmidt in the 64th minute of play. Egídio Bastos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Jânio Dias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Page's Jorginho Loureiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Dagoberto Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Page could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Da Matta E.C. throughout the match.
