A collision led to Ermo EC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Aírton Paulista hit a great ball. If Carlos Augusto Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Edu Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seleto's supporters rose to their feet, but Edu Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardinho Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Seleto's Dorival Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Sarmento in the 12th minute of play. Ricardinho Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Sergipano in the 16th minute of the match. When Zé Carlos Leite fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ermo EC's protests and gave Zé Carlos Leite a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ermo EC's Zé Carlos Leite got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th match minute, Seleto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Alves to maneuver through the defense. After 22nd play minutes Carlos Augusto Sergipano shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Ricardinho Abreu and just under the crossbar into goal. José Paulo Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardinho Abreu having to interfere. Ricardinho Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Sergipano in the 26th minute of the match. Ricardinho Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Carlos Augusto Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardinho Abreu was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Seleto's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Sarmento came free, but Dorival Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Augusto Sergipano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Ricardinho Abreu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dorival Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 54th minute, Carlos Augusto Sergipano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardinho Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Ricardinho Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Ricardinho Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes of play, Seleto's Carlos Augusto Sergipano made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardinho Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edu Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 minutes of play, Seleto's Nico Valadares made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardinho Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Seleto's Carlos Augusto Sergipano in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ermo EC's goalie prevented a goal. Carlos Augusto Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ricardinho Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Carlos Augusto Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardinho Abreu was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Celsinho Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Carlos Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ermo EC's Aírton Paulista got a free kick in the 98th minute. Seleto walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
