Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Samuel de Medeiros started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Atlético Ártico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Onze Extremos F.C's Percy Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Corrêa in the 6th minute of play. Elói Furlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percy Leal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Jaime Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Leal having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Atlético Ártico's Elói Furlan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percy Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jaime Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Leal having to interfere. Onze Extremos F.C's Teodoro Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Teodoro Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Atlético Ártico getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Dida Peixoto hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Teodoro Saldanha could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Michel Montenegro however easily saved by the left post. Teodoro Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Michel Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Onze Extremos F.C. When Teodoro Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Onze Extremos F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Saldanha couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the game, Atlético Ártico's Jaime Corrêa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percy Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 47th match minute, Onze Extremos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elói Furlan was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Atlético Ártico got a freekick which was hit by Tiago de Toledo. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Ártico's zone, Samuel de Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Montenegro came out of the goal and Samuel de Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genílson Ribeiro hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Jerônimo Arruda was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luizinho Mazza hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes, Atlético Ártico's Délio Dracena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Percy Leal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético Ártico reached it. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Jaime Corrêa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Percy Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Ártico's goalkeeper Michel Montenegro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 98 minutes into the match, Elói Furlan notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Onze Extremos F.C's Percy Leal. Percy Leal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atlético Ártico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
