Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 0) Douglas Donatello started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Edmílson Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Britto in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Brodovsky's Hamílton Britto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmílson Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Douglas Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Walmyr Moura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmílson Gomes. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Donatello in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldemar Pernambucano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Waldemar Pernambucano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Donatello's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After 25 played minutes Brodovsky got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Britto. Waldemar Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Donatello in the 28th minute of play. Douglas Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Pernambucano having to interfere. PALESTRINHA F.C's Franklin de Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Douglas Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. PALESTRINHA F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldemar Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39thth minute of the game Franklin de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brodovsky's Waldemar Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Franklin de Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldemar Pernambucano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franklin de Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. Douglas Donatello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Waldemar Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Donatello in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The audience was convinced that Douglas Donatello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldemar Pernambucano was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Franklin de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Waldemar Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Brodovsky booed when PALESTRINHA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 played minutes Brodovsky got a freekick which was hit by Mané Tande. In the 61stth minute of the game Douglas Donatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brodovsky's Waldemar Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Waldemar Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Franklin de Lima sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute of the match PALESTRINHA F.C got a corner. Brodovsky's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rodrigo Pinheiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. When PALESTRINHA F.C's Franklin de Lima in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brodovsky's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes in the game, Douglas Donatello fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Waldemar Pernambucano having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as PALESTRINHA F.C's Douglas Donatello slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Waldemar Pernambucano. That made the score 1-2 after 81 minutes of play. Waldemar Pernambucano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Donatello's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Carlos Augusto Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. PALESTRINHA F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldemar Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Douglas Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PALESTRINHA F.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
