Montana EC's Enrique Hermes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marcelo Schmidt but with some difficulty. After the first half Iuna were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Pedrinho Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Alberto Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Iuna's Pedrinho Britto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Alberto Neves. That made the score 0-2 after 55 minutes of play. If Válter Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Válter Toledo succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. A collision led to Montana EC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Enrique Hermes hit a great ball. Montana EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Pedrinho Britto scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Alberto Neves, making the score, 0-4. In the 77th minute, Iuna's Pedrinho Britto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Alberto Neves. Carlos Alberto Neves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. 81 minutes into the game, Válter Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iuna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montana EC the free kick. Válter Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Clemente Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Schmidt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Kléber Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Carlos Alberto Neves managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Iuna's Pedrinho Britto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cícero de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Marcelo Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Alberto de Salles hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Iuna left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Montana EC.
