The penalty shot was made by Zé Augusto Fernandez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ypatinga FC's Edgard do Vale. 1-2. Edgard do Vale came out of the goal and Teodoro Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tamoata SC's João Vítor Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Tamoata SC from getting a goal against them. Ypatinga FC's Edgard do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Simão in the 38th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ypatinga FC defense, Eriberto Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard do Vale. The Ypatinga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard do Vale should have stopped the shot. Teodoro Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dinei Vaz made a kick off. In the 58th minute of the match Tamoata SC got a corner. Ypatinga FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Augusto Fernandez ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Raphael de Salles drilling the ball in to score 1-4 behind Ypatinga FC's goalkeeper. 67 minutes into the match, Tamoata SC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Teixeira came free, but João Vítor Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Vítor Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio Teixeira in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Tamoata SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Vaz came free, but João Vítor Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
