Waldemar Pernambucano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Válter Toledo in the 3rd minute. Zé Carlos Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Marcelo Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brodovsky. Válter Toledo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldemar Pernambucano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Waldemar Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Hamílton Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Válter Toledo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Brodovsky's Waldemar Pernambucano. Waldemar Pernambucano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedrinho Britto scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldemar Pernambucano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlinhos Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Pedrinho Britto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brodovsky's Waldemar Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 played minutes Brodovsky got a freekick which was hit by Guga Freitas. Waldemar Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Britto in the 28th minute of the match. Hamílton Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Waldemar Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Britto in the 34th minute of play. Pedrinho Britto struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Waldemar Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iuna. Marcelo Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Pedrinho Britto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Waldemar Pernambucano, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Válter Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Moura in the 61st minute of play forced Iuna's goalkeeper Marcelo Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Pedrinho Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldemar Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldemar Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válter Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Válter Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Válter Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Iuna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válter Toledo couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute Pedrinho Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Válter Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Iuna booed when Brodovsky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Válter Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Waldemar Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldemar Pernambucano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrinho Britto's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Válter Toledo sped through Brodovsky's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Waldemar Pernambucano. In the 98th minute, Pedrinho Britto made a precise shot to the right of Waldemar Pernambucano. Brodovsky's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0.
