The wind increased when José Pedro Meirelles made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Elano Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorival Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luiz Koehler was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ayapua fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elano Torres couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute José Pedro Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorival Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ayapua played a much better game than MAXiminos and deserved their victory. The MAXiminos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
