The referee ignored Camargo FC's protests and gave Doni Passos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute Willian Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Luiz Meireles, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Poço de Merda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willian Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henrique Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Meirelles having to interfere.
