Oscar Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willian Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Vasconcelos having to interfere. Oscar Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gernando Meirelles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessandro Berger in the 31st minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Willian Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poço de Merda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willian Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gernando Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Vasconcelos having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

A collision led to Ayapua getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Manfredo Recife hit a great ball. In the 58th minute Willian Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorival Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gernando Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Dorival Vasconcelos made a huge save. Gernando Meirelles came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Ayapua's Alberto Santana. But to his dismay, Alberto Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Santana in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gernando Meirelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Poço de Merda's Umberto Macedo got a free kick in the 74th minute. Alessandro Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorival Vasconcelos was a little too slow when Willian Paulista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Paulista in the 83rd minute of play forced Ayapua's goalkeeper Dorival Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willian Paulista struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Dorival Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poço de Merda. When Willian Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Poço de Merda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willian Paulista couldn't finish the play. Oscar Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Dorival Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorival Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willian Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Willian Paulista fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poço de Merda's protests and gave Willian Paulista a yellow card for diving instead. Poço de Merda's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
