Spectators: 7168 (Terracing: 5378, Seating: 1648, VIP seats: 142) After 7 minutes, Oscar da Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MAXiminos and the Cerobas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Oscar da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrianinho Ceresso hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Toninho Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manoel Paiva in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesinha Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cesinha Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Lucas in the 26th minute of play. When José Pedro Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MAXiminos's protests and gave José Pedro Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Paiva in the 33rd minute of play forced MAXiminos's goalkeeper Cesinha Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramiro Monteiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 36th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Laerte Paes. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Elano Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. MAXiminos's supporters rose to their feet, but Elano Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elano Torres took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro Monteiro. Ramiro Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Artur Saldanha's late challenge caught a Cerobas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Saldanha helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes MAXiminos got a freekick which was hit by Artur Saldanha. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerobas FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ramiro Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Pedro Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Cerobas FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Pedro Meirelles came free, but Ramiro Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Cerobas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Torres came free, but Ramiro Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Pedro Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Monteiro having to interfere. Manoel Paivas short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Cesinha Vieira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Elano Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ramiro Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind MAXiminos's goalkeeper Cesinha Vieira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cerobas FC's Manoel Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manoel Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Vieira having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Artur Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes Cerobas FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Ceresso. After a rather tough play, Cerobas FC's Hélio Gerber got a free kick in the 97th minute. MAXiminos's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
