Luizão Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, H.Vianna Soccer Team's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Guerra came free, but Zé Carlos Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Antuerpia defense, Júnior Barral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidnei Marquez. The Antuerpia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidnei Marquez should have stopped the shot. Júnior Barral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Sidnei Marquez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Júnior Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Geovanni Palmeira fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Antuerpia's protests and gave Geovanni Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Antuerpia getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Geovanni Palmeira hit a great ball. During the 27th minute of the match Geovanni Palmeira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Geovanni Palmeira a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Geovanni Palmeira hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Léo de Toledo, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Sidnei Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Barral in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Antuerpia getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Armandinho Nóbrega hit a great ball. If Luizão Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the game, Manuel Tróia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Antuerpia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave H.Vianna Soccer Team the free kick. Luizão Mota came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zé Carlos Branco could save by the left post. Hudson Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
