Donje-Ljubinje's Caetano de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Carvalho in the 26th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Amadeu Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New City Caxias's Tomé de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matheus Vale during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arthur Gonçalves might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomé de Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucas Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caetano de Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Caetano de Castro came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by New City Caxias's Gernando de Almeida. But to his dismay, Gernando de Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When Donje-Ljubinje's Amadeu Pinheiro in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The New City Caxias fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Carvalho got free with Caetano de Castro in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Gernando de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caetano de Castro was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Amadeu Pinheiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomé de Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amadeu Pinheiro ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Donje-Ljubinje's Caetano de Castro got control of the ball when Lucas Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucas Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano de Castro having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Evandro Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Donje-Ljubinje's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New City Caxias the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Lucas Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. New City Caxias's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
