Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gernando de Almeida started the match with the kick off. Breno Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomé de Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo de Queiroz's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Toheroa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Gernando de Almeida scored to the left of an out of position Giovanni Britto, making the score, 1-0. Giovanni Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando de Almeida in the 13th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Ricardo Soares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New City Caxias and the Toheroa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, New City Caxias's Ricardo Soares got a free kick in the 17th minute. Tomé de Almeida came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Toheroa's Breno Maranhense. But to his dismay, Breno Maranhense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cristiano Soeiro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Tomé de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Aírton Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Gernando de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Giovanni Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Breno Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo de Queiroz scored 2-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomé de Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 46 played minutes Toheroa got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Nogueira. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo de Queiroz to make the kick off. Matheus Vale scored 3-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giovanni Britto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute Lucas Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Toheroa's zone, Gernando de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Britto came out of the goal and Gernando de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gernando de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giovanni Britto having to make a save. Gernando de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, New City Caxias's Tomé de Almeida got control of the ball when Breno Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th match minute, New City Caxias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Soares to maneuver through the defense. When Cristiano Soeiro fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toheroa's protests and gave Cristiano Soeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Cristiano Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Giovanni Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Toheroa's zone, Lucas Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Britto came out of the goal and Lucas Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Carvalho in the 87th minute of play forced Toheroa's goalkeeper Giovanni Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gernando de Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giovanni Britto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Toheroa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
